Intensive III: Becoming Attached unfolds and expands the six roots of attachment and puts the focus more on adults than in the first two levels. The course is also a journey through Dr. Neufeld’s earlier theoretical development which created the puzzle pieces that ultimately came together in the six roots of attachment. The Intensive III is designed not only to provide deeper theoretical understanding but also to give the opportunity for more personal integration of the material. Course participants will view Dr. Neufeld’s pre-recorded lecture videos through our Virtual Campus and come together weekly in a live Zoom class to discuss the material. While individuals can take this course at any time in Self-Paced Study format, this is a unique opportunity to gain further insight from Neufeld Institute Faculty members, anchored by Genevieve Schreier.
All of the classes are recorded. If you can't fit a live class into your day-time schedule, you can keep pace by watching the recording later in the week. Class recordings are posted online within 24 hours and are available for the duration of your campus study pass.
Intensive III tuition includes eight months of access to our Virtual Campus plus prerequisite course access (Intensive I and II) for review. Course components include lecture videos, study guide, supplementary resources, the faculty-facilitated Zoom support sessions, and access to a discussion forum. Suitability & Applicability
This course is universal in its application. There is not a profession or venue of application that is not informed by an understanding of attachment. People from all occupations, cultures and religions have been equally engaged by the material in this course. The best way to take the course is to come for oneself.
No previous background or formal education in the social sciences is required, although the ability to handle university-level instruction helps. This course is highly recommended for therapists and is part of the core curriculum for our internship and practitioner programs. Participants have included parents and grandparents, educators of all kinds, behaviour specialists, counsellors, therapists, art therapists, psychologists, pediatricians, university professors, psychiatrists, family physicians, nurses, social workers, youth workers, ministers, care providers and foster parents.
Time & Place
This course is being offered in a Scheduled Online Class format on Mondays from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm Pacific Time, starting with an orientation session on October 21, 2024. The class will run for 17 weeks (NO class on November 11th, December 23rd & 30th, January 6th and February 17th), with the last wrap-up session on March 17, 2025.

Cancellation
Cancellation notifications received up until one day before the start of the course are eligible for a refund, less a $25 administrative fee. Cancellation notifications received after the start of the course are not eligible for refund.
If a course is cancelled by the Neufeld Institute due to insufficient enrolment or other unforeseen circumstances, all registrants will have the option of receiving a full refund or credit.
