Lis Kroeker is a former faculty member of the Neufeld Institute, and has been working in the educational system for 25 years. Lis’ experience includes classroom teaching; working with students with special needs (both within the traditional classroom and outside of it); supporting students with troubling behaviours; working as a school counsellor at the elementary and middle school levels; and working as a district resource teacher for the Burnaby, Nanaimo and Qualicum/Parksville school districts. Lis teaches Special Education courses at the post-secondary level, and coordinates the Teacher Post Degree Diploma in Special Education at Vancouver Island University. Lis is a mother of two children, and brings with her a deep sense of compassion and a strong belief in the ability of the Neufeld approach to change the lives of children.

Lis is available upon request to offer all Neufeld courses to educators and parents. She primarily works with children, their families, and their teachers within the school system. Lis has extensive experience providing in-service to teachers and teachers- in-training, and has worked with teams of educators and parents of children who are struggling. She provides educational consulting and counselling in the school system and through her private practice. Lis offers presentations from two hour talks to full day seminars and workshops in a number of formats: professional development to educators and special educators; university level credit courses; parent groups, and church groups.
