Deborah MacNamara, PhD, is on faculty at the Neufeld Institute, author of Rest, Play, Grow: Making Sense of Preschoolers (or anyone who acts like one), and operates a counselling practice supporting families. She is a dynamic teacher and experienced counsellor who makes developmental science come to life in the everyday context of home and classroom.
Deborah facilitates all of Dr. Neufeld's courses, and is the Course Coordinator for Making Sense of Attention Problems, Making Sense of Preschoolers and The Science of Emotion. A dynamic and passionate presenter, Deborah provides presentations of various lengths to audiences of parents and professionals who work with children and adolescents. She offers consultation to parents, teachers, and helping professionals regarding learning and behavioural issues presented by children of all ages, and provides on-site support and consultation for teachers and helping professionals who work with those students who are challenging. Deborah is a gifted counsellor who provides individual sessions for both adolescents and adults. She has an interest and passion in helping adults understand preschoolers, assisting adolescents with the transition to adulthood, and walking people through the journey of parenthood.
