Kevin Bredeman, M.A., C.C.C.Therapist (Canadian Certified Counsellor)
Abbotsford, British Columbia
Course Facilitator
I am a husband and the father of two sons. I am also a therapist in a program for youth with mental health challenges who struggle to remain connected to school. I completed my M.A. in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University (Langley, British Columbia) in 2007, and have worked since that time in the mental health field. I completed the Facilitator Diploma Program through the Neufeld Institute in 2016, and immensely enjoyed this experience. I am grateful to Dr. Neufeld for all the work he has put into developing this approach which helps me make sense of my work and my family life each and every day, as well as to colleagues with the Neufeld Institute who spread these insights around the world. I feel so much hope and inspiration whenever I see this paradigm working in my parenting, my involvement with youth and their families, and in the feedback I`ve received from course participants. I want to see this insight spread and continue to provide the way forward for more and more children and their families.
I am available to facilitate the Making Sense of Counterwill, Making Sense of Anxiety, and Making Sense of Adolescence Part I courses in the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver regions of British Columbia as well as in Northwest Washington state (Whatcom County). I typically offer courses in weekly 1.5 - 2 hr sessions, where each session consists of one hour viewing Dr. Neufeld`s video presentation followed by discussion, where I answer participants` questions as well as share stories that illustrate the material and add depth to participants` understanding using personal and professional examples. I can offer courses to parents and caregivers, church or other community group settings, as well as to professional audiences. Courses can be delivered in person or virtually.
