Karen is a psychologist and parent consultant. Her field of study is focused on working with children and their parents. She majored in Psychology at the Universidad Iberoamericana in México City. Following her undergraduate studies she completed a Masters in Developmental Psychology from the Universidad Anahuac. From 1997 until 2014, she conducted psychoeducational evaluations in her own private clinic. She is also trained as a sexual education instructor in IMIFAP and has taught courses to teenagers in this area. She also attained a diploma in neuropsychology. Beginning in 1998, she taught undergraduate courses at the Universidad Anahuac; in 2001 she was given the position of coordinator in the clinical area of the Masters department at this same university and became a teacher.
Family is her life’s priority. She has two wonderful sons with Sergio, her husband: Alan, who is twenty-two years old and Eric, nineteen years old. Eleven years ago, the Neufeld model came across her life and since that time it has shed light on her life. Overall this model has been making sense to her. This paradigm falls in place with the way she thinks, her intuition and how she is raising her sons. When she started this journey her sons were children and now they are young men. Karen says: "Now I turn around and see the fruits of the processes, the patience, crossing through the rainy days, walking the parent maze and the coming alongside their emotions and I can truly say it is worth it.”
She enjoys working with parents and teachers helping them see their children and students with this different lens.
Karen delivers Dr. Neufeld´s Vital Connection, Helping Children Grow Up, Teachability Factor, Making Sense of Preschoolers, Making Sense of Aggression, and Making Sense of Adolescence in Mexico City.
