Sandy lives in Christchurch, New Zealand She is married with four adult children . She has over 30 years experience of working with children and young people across a number of various roles including church based programmes, youth leadership, preschool music programmes, perceptual motor programmes and counselling. Sandy is currently a counsellor who specialises in working with children and their parents/caregivers in both school settings and through her private practice.
Her loves are spending time with family and friends, walking, planning adventures, cooking, drinking good coffee, laughter, and playing with new ideas.
As a counsellor, I am available to work with children, youth and parents.
As a parent consultant, I am able to offer a space for the parent/caregiver to discuss the struggles that their child might be experiencing. As we discuss together, we can make sense of what might be happening underneath the child`s behaviours and symptoms, and then from there, find some possible natural ways through.
I am also available for consults with teachers and schools to help make sense of difficult behaviours and symptoms in children/young people.
Seminars and presentations on a range of topics are also availabe for schools, parent groups, agencies, conferences, etc
Sessions are available in my Christchurch office as well as online via zoom.
As well as this, I can facilitate the following Neufeld Institute Courses -
Parent to Parent 1,
Parent to Parent 2,
Making sense of Anxiety
Making sense of Aggression
Alpha Children
Heart Matters- The Science of Emotion
Making Sense of Discipline.
Making Sense of Attention Problems
