Adriatic Languages Program

Led by Urška Žugelj

Although more recently developed and so not yet ready to deliver translated courses, this program has a broad reach thanks to our multilinquist director who has also lived in many of the regions this program serves. The program currently serves Bosnian, Croatian, Montenegrin, Serbian and Slovenian. The focus is currently on lectures and study groups related to Hold On To Your Kids, which has been translated into each of these languages as well. Translated courses will be coming soon.

Meet the Language Director who brings this work to your region.

Urška Žugelj, Professor & Psychologist

Dr. Žugelj bridges the worlds of academia, therapy and parenthood. Being fluently multilingual and having lived in a number of cities in the Adriatic/Balkan region, she is well-suited to bring Neufeld's attachment-based developmental approach to parents and professionals into these languages. Now a faculty member, Urška's initial introduction to Dr. Neufeld was through her curiosity about his approach to attachment as a university professor of attachment herself. Urška helped execute Dr. Neufeld's very successful 2024 speaking tour in Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina, sponsored by the Novak Djokovic Foundation. She is a mother to three. She is currently studying with Dr. Neufeld as a faculty intern.

Hold On to Your Kids

Dr. Gordon Neufeld’s book Hold On to Your Kids is available in Slovenian, Serbian and Croatian, making the insights of the Neufeld Approach accessible to parents, educators, and professionals in your own language.

OTROCI NAS POTREBUJEIO: Zakaj so starši pomembnejši od vrstnikov

Vodilni mednarodni strokovnjak za razvoj otrok, dr. Gordon Neufeld, se skupaj s priznanim avtorjem dr. Gaborjem Matéjem loti enega najbolj zaskrbljujočih trendov našega časa: Otroci današnjega časa imajo svoje vrstnike za vzor – glede svojih vrednot, identitete in pravil obnašanja.

Ta „vršnjačka orijentacija” potkopava obiteljsku koheziju, ometa zdrav razvoj i potiče neprijateljski nastrojenu i seksualiziranu kulturu mladih.
