Dr. Deborah Bell is a registered psychologist who has specialized in empowering children and parents for over 17 years. Deborah's work includes providing assessments for children and adults, and therapy to individuals, families, and parents. She has a background working with children and adults who have histories of trauma. These clients have come to Deborah with a wide background of experiences, for example: physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and foster care. Deborah takes great joy in working with the relationships between infants (ages 0-5) and their caregivers and seeing the transformation of little ones' behaviour as their caregiver gains confidence and understanding. In addition, Deborah works with clients living with anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, and family roadblocks to healthy relationships. Deborah has extensive training in play therapy and attachment based approaches, which informs the work she does in both counseling and parent consulting. Deborah enjoys sharing her love of clinical work and the spirit of children through teaching and supervising practitioners in their clinical work. She teaches at the graduate level and supervises clinicians at all levels of career development.
