Resilience, Recovery and Relationship
September 25, 2018, 9:00am – 4:00pm
Resilience is the ability to bounce back after times of stress. In this seminar, Dr. Neufeld will discuss the essence of true resilience and reveal the keys to developing this capacity in our children and in ourselves. He will also share fresh understandings about the surprising role of play in resilience and recovery.

Making Sense of Preschoolers (or anyone who acts like one)
September 26, 2018, 9:00am – 4:00pm
To make sense of the preschooler is to make sense of the very essentials of human development. Rather than pushing them to be other than who they are, we can celebrate their differences. Instead of trying to get them to grow up, we can attend to providing the conditions that are conducive to their transformation. Knowing what they need from us is the key.

The Roots of Attachment and How to Nurture Them
September 26, 2018, 7:00 – 9:00pm
This evening public address is about how the capacity for relationship is meant to develop as well as why this development is so necessary. The implications are profound, not only for the future formation of fulfilling intimate relationships, but more immediately in how a child is influenced by family as well as impacted by daycare, school, and the digital world.

Making Sense of Aggression
September 28, 2018, 9:00am – 4:00pm
There are many indicators that this problem is escalating among our children and youth. What is truly alarming is the attacking energy within and between our kids that erupts in their interaction. Dr. Neufeld provides a way of understanding that not only explains what is happening around us but also provides an insight into the individuals who present with this problems.

Raising Children in a Digital World
September 28, 2018, 7:00 to 9:00pm
The digital world is here to stay, changing our society in a ways that have far reaching consequences for our children. What are the implications for parenting? How do we prepare them to live in this new world and yet preserve what is required for healthy development to take place?

Bullies: their making and unmaking
Friday September 29, 2018, 9:00am to 4:00pm
Dr. Neufeld dissects the bully syndrome to expose its deep instinctive roots, revealing in the process why this behaviour is so immune to conventional means of intervention. This presentation has very practical implications that can be applied to a variety of settings.
